Our Beef Stock Powder is exploding with umami! Umami is a Japanese word that translates to “the essence of deliciousness” and it best described as “the meaty, savoury deliciousness that deepens flavour”. And damn right our Beef Stock Powder does just that!
Our Beef Stock Powder adds so much depth and flavour to foods. Packed with Shiitake mushrooms, nutritional yeast, sea salt, garlic powder, dehydrated onion, smoked paprika, black pepper, dried oregano, ground ginger, thyme, and celery seed. I mill everything to a fine powder consistency.
You might have noticed but I have a bit of a lover affair when it comes to Nutritional yeast. I include it a lot in my recipes. My love affair with it began a few years back when my dad was in hospital. I remember reading up on his health issues and read a lot about the benefits of using it in my everyday cooking.
For those who haven’t tried it before the best way for me to describe the taste would be to say it has quite a unique savoury taste that sort of that resembles cheese and a kind of “nutty” flavour at the same time…believe it or not. Nutritional yeast is a great alternative to adding flavour to food and I use it a lot in my everyday cooking. Nutritional yeast provides protein, fibre, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. I digress…
So, by adding Nutritional yeast which has a cheesy nutty taste, then adding the shitake mushrooms which have an earthy, smoky, meaty tones, and then combining all our other herbs and spices we have come to this wholesome, delicious, meatless, and versatile stock.
I only use this version of beef stock in all my cooking and my recipes. I love the stuff. It tastes magnificent and has so much depth and flavour.
