Burger Seasoning

Zoitsa Homely Produce would like to introduce you to our Burger Seasoning….

This is one of our family’s favourite blends and one that we have been using for years and years.  It’s so good we just had to share this with you.

One Friday every month we have what we refer to as “Wyatt Burger Night”.  This seasoning blend came to fruition when I wanted to intensify, deepen, and enhance our burgers.

Our Burger Seasoning is loaded with sweet paprika, brown sugar, dried onion flakes, black pepper, garlic powder, dried sweet basil, and a dash of salt. And it truthfully is delectable and mouth-watering.

There is so much flavour and there is a gorgeous smokiness to our blend which is then complimented by a dash of sweetness due to the brown sugar.  The dried onion flakes give it a beautiful texture.  We use sweet basil in our version as it has a subtle sweetness and aroma to it.  If we look at the flavour profiles of dried basil versus dried sweet basil, there is definitely a difference.

There are thousands upon thousands of versions of Burger Seasoning out there.  Like thousands!  What makes ours so special?  Because its soooo good and we add no crap or artificial rubbish to our seasonings.

So, the nerd in me just couldn’t resist…I spent hours upon hours upon hours researching hamburgers.  I found some fascinating stuff about the origin of the Hamburger and the seasonings that accompany.  There are multiple claims on who created the first burger/hamburger.  Most of my research pointed to either the USA or Germany as being in the forefront of origin.

Regardless, who doesn’t love a good burger?  Whether it’s with minced beef, chicken, faux meats, veggies they are simply delicious.  In my household we make Chicken Burgers with Swiss cheese on brioche buns.  DELISH!!!

There’s two ways on how to use our Burger Seasoning. One way is to add 3-4 heaped tablespoons to 500gms of protein/faux meats/blitzed vegetables and mix through your preferred food until thoroughly combined.  The second way is to sprinkle on top of your raw/uncooked product prior to grilling/BBQ then procced to cook.  This way forms a crusty outer layer.

We hope you love our Burger Seasoning as much as we do!

Bon Appetit Y’all
