Christmas is here! It just comes around so fast! I feel like it was only yesterday when I sent out Christmas Wishes to all and sundry and here, we are again. Maybe it’s a sign of old age?
I love this time of year and I know you all know as I am constantly, and I mean constantly talking about it.
Zoitsa Homely Produce is my life, I live, and I breathe it. I spend countless of hours researching and making all our blends and taste testing them in my kitchen. I love it.
Who is The Zoitsa Homely Produce Crew?
Zoitsa Homely Produce consists of me. My name is Irene, but my dear friends call me Reans. I create all our blends/masalas/seasonings. I am always in the kitchen in my spice cupboard and mixing a bit of this and a bit of that and coming up with everything. As mentioned, I taste test them in my cooking and in my kitchen. This isn’t about just throwing things in a jar or pouch and selling it. It delves deeper than that.
Then we have my husband aka The Hubster or affectionally referred to as Gee. Gee is my best friend. My rock. My number one supporter and the man behind all our social media posts and all our computer stuff . When I say stuff, I mean all that computer mumbo jumbo stuff that gets done in the background. Its safe to say I have broken him with all my demands and wishes, but the man does everything I ask.
Then we have my 11 year old son Coop. Coop loves to help me in my office, and he is always sitting down and doing my bookwork (I think I’m raising a future accountant) I am teaching him the ropes on everything GST and tax and he is sucking up all the information (and getting really good at it too). He is an avid photographer to boot, and I get him to take photos and videos (albeit being directed by yours truly).
The last piece of the Zoitsa Homely Produce Crew puzzle is my brother John. I think I busted John to pieces, and he gladly handed the reigns over to The Hubster. John is still our point of call when we get stuck on something.
We all work so hard to make the magic happen. Trust me when I tell you it takes hours upon hours to produce our reels, to video everything to photograph, to stage each and every photo.
I sit in my office (which used to be our spare room) for hours on end researching recipes, the origins. I am usually up until 2am most mornings sitting quietly and reading and writing and researching. One product from conception to birth, to be posted online, takes me 3-4 weeks.
As an e-commerce brand there are so many countless hours of work that go on behind the scenes that no one really knows how much you do. We appreciate each and every one of you. Every comment you leave on our website, every review, on Facebook on Instagram makes us squeal with glee. We are so thankful and blessed to have you guys as our customers. We love that you keep coming back for more and you are referring your family and friends to us.
So, from my crew, my family, we wish you all nothing but the merriest of merriest of Christmas and a wonderful New year. Christmas is not about religion in my eyes. It’s about quality time spent with our friends, our family our loved ones. That ONE day in a year where we don’t have to worry about our bigger problems. We kind of “mute” everything and just enjoy each other’s company.
For a small young company like ours we won’t be stopping or pausing. WE will be available to you throughout the Christmas and New Years break. Whatever you need we are here and happy to make whatever you need for this season.
