I decided to do this as so many of you have sent me emails/DM’s/ SMS’ with your pictures and telling me how you use our products and I guess I had a light bulb moment and thought why not ask our followers to send their photos in. In turn as a way for us to say thank you we will send you a little gift.
For me I am always amazed at how creative people are in the kitchen and I am always fascinated on how you use our products. I have said this many times our products are extremely versatile and can be used in more than the specified description of them. That’s the beauty of all of our products. There is so many ways you can use them.
I source my herbs and spices from far and wide and I aim to purchase only Australian made , harvested/grown in Australia and are ethically and Fairtrade manufactured. The exception is Oregano. I much prefer using imported Greek Oregano. Greek oregano tends to be more “earthy”, and it is said to be more savoury rather than herby and flowery. It’s also what I have grown up with and I find that Greek oregano is fuller bodied in flavour and dominate, which is what I like.
I make everything at time of ordering I do this to make things as fresh as possible and for the shelf life to last longer for you, my customers. I also have many customers who have allergies, intolerances to certain things, are on strict no sugar and or no salt diets. So, I custom make my products for them. I am sure they can vouch for me when I say that. All they have done is sent me an email and told me what they need to have omitted. I won’t just omit that one or two ingredients…oh no! I play around in the kitchen to try to make them taste just as good without that omitted herb or spice.
Things like rice flour. I don’t buy store bought pre-packaged rice flour. I make my own with my two little hands and the aid of a spice grinder. I start by using the mortar and pestle and pounding the Bejesus out of it and then transferring it to my grinder to mill out any lumps or un-bashed rice. I go to great lengths to make this as natural as possible. I add NO CRAP in any of my products.
When you order our Iced Coffee Syrup, I brew that for 10 hours…there is no sleep for me (but I love to do it!).
My goal is to have people cook more at home using fresh and natural ingredients. As great as take-out food is, and it can be convenient when one is time poor it is extremely expensive and let’s be real here – we have no idea how fresh and healthy these foods are. Home cooked food is sublime and so much more healthier when you know exactly what you are putting in your food, and your body.
Let your imagination run wild and get creative in the kitchen and especially so using our products.
So, come on whatcha waiting for? Post your pics of how YOU use Zoitsa Homely Produce’s products and send them to me!
Remember there is more to seasoning s that JUST salt and pepper
Love
Irene
