Ready…Set….GO! Its 2024! Where on earth did 2023 go?
We have been a bit quiet over here at Zoitsa (meaning our socials and website) but trust me when I say we really haven’t stopped. We had a multitude of orders that came through late December and early January, and it was such a delight for me to roll up my sleeves and make your delicious and delectable goods. Nothing gives me more joy than to use my hands to make stuff.
We have had a pretty disastrous start to the year with our hot water system dying and spewing forth 170 litres of water throughout our home! Along with our fridge dying and having no internet for what felt like a lifetime! They say that things come in threes so here’s hoping we are done with crappy issues for 2024! Onwards and upwards from here.
Christmas Day and New Year’s Day were just… heavenly. Days filled with food and laugher and having friends and family over to celebrate. I just love it! The psycho planner in me is now planning for Easters. Yes, Plural. EASTERS. We celebrate what we refer to as “Aussie Easter” and then Greek Orthodox Easter. Double the fun!
Running a small business is mighty tough. Never in a million years did I think it would be this all-encompassing. The hours are long. It is tiring. Trying to purge the creative juices can be very demanding at times. Coming up with new ideas, recipes, blends is mighty hard. They look and smell good only to find out once you’ve cooked with them the food tastes gross. And back to the drawing board. But I wouldn’t change anything! I love this!
