Time to unearth Zoitsa Homely Produce’s – Turkish Spice to our repertoire. Its earthy, its bold, its lip smacking delicious (if I can say so myself) and leaves a gorgeous aftertaste.

Our Turkish Spice took me some time to perfect and to get it right and I am extremely happy with the result. A lot of temper tantrums and hissy fits went on in our kitchen, but I am really proud of this blend. It turned out superbly.

Our Turkish Spice is a beautiful mixture of herbs and spices that will add such a warm, rich, and deep flavour to your meals. It is so aromatic and so flavourful. Filled to the brim with sweet paprika, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground coriander, mint, coconut sugar, salt, turmeric, sumac, cinnamon, pepper, and cumin.

I believe that the sumac is what has really made our Turkish Spice so superb. Sumac has this tangy earthy sweetness to it along with florally citrusy undertones.

It has so much versatility as it can be used in so many dishes and on so many different proteins, along with tofu and soy curls.

It is wonderful on Turkish dishes such as Manti (Turkish Ravioli/Dumplings), Kumpir (Stuffed Baked Potatoes), Iskender Kebap (Kebabs), Gozleme (Stuffed Turkish flatbread) just to name a few. It’s also delightful sprinkled into dips.

What I like to use it for is on chicken thighs, steak, pork, seafood/prawns as well as mixing a little bit up with olive oil and coating my vegetables before roasting. It’s an excellent spice that can be used a rub, as a seasoning, as a marinade, and gorgeous mixed into vinaigrette for a salad (oil &vinegar). For a quick, delicious, and healthy snack simply brush some olive oil on pita bread, toast it, and sprinkle with Zoitsa Homely Produce’s – Turkish Spice and BOOM something to appease the hungry beast that gurgles within.

In my home we love to use it as a marinade on pork pieces and then thread the pork onto metal/bamboo skewers (mix olive oil and our Turkish Spice and then pour all over the pork pieces).

Turkey is a crossroads between Europe and Asia. Turkey was once a key point in the spice trade way back in time. It would be safe to say that Turkish cuisine and flavours was and still is an infusion of cultures. Turkey’s flavours are rather unique.

I know it will perk up your meals however you choose to use it.

From our kitchen to yours!

Afiyet olsun!/Bon Appetit
